Treatment of Onychomycosis in Diabetic Patients

Onychomycosis is more common in diabetic than nondiabetic patients. It is
more than a cosmetic problem, and diabetic patients have a greater risk of
serious complications from the disease, including limb amputations. This
article reviews the various diagnostic and therapeutic options available for
onychomycosis with an emphasis on their roles in diabetic patients.
